My March Favorite 5 Photos...

Been taking photos every day. Mostly I'm home and last Tuesday I broke my foot so now I'm almost immobilized and at home! I guess when it rains it pours... and if bad things really do come in threes, I should be just about done for awhile! Anyway, here are my picks of pics for March...

Spring brings mating season for the local critters and here is one of the pair of mourning doves that have been perching on my back deck lately. Must be a nest somewhere near.

Spring thaws and lots of rain brought the river to my backyard. Here some of my favorite visitors are looking it over.

...and a pair of ducks! Pretty cool, eh?

I broke my foot, was issued crutches in emergency, and invited myself as guest for a day or so until I saw my doctor. Here is Patch, the newest animal family member where I stayed.

Yes, both of those feet are on the same person... that would be me! The break didn't need setting so I'm using a 'camwalker' which allows me to take it off to shower and when I go to bed.

Foto Pherrets...

Hump Wednesday challenge this week is FISH

Can you believe? Lady Starlight suggested my dinner for yesterday. Accompanied with a salad and some minute rice cooked with a spicey tomato sauce, this filet sauteed in a teaspoon of Enova (a heart healthy cooking oil), seasoned with 6-Pepper seasoning and a sprinkle of garlic - was delicious! OttO (my number 5 daughter) was right! Fish is not a penance. Lady Starlight... my challenge to you - suggest my dinner for NEXT week! I've been planning meals so long it gets rather tedious although I don't mind cooking.

Favorite 5 for February!!!

Late but never TOO late! I know cuz it's my meme. It's not too late for you either. February was not what I would call a great photography month for me. It was hard to come up with 5 favorites because I didn't think I took very many good photos. This one, however, I just love!
Bubba in a 'good boy' moment.

Nat added these sweet little frogs to my little froggy collection. They were the 'bow' on top of a heart-shaped box of Hershey's kisses - a sweet little valentine from one of the 'little kids'
