PhotoTime Tuesday..... Cabin Fever

click

Don't have to go anywhere to watch the wildlife.

This feeder is right outside my kitchen door and it's a load of entertainment for our cats. They enjoy the birds, yes, but they really get excited when this big rodent visits the feeder. Goober has tried to go through the window a couple of times and the youngest, AmyLou, wiggles her lower body like crazy... ready to pounce! Frank takes an occasional pot-shot at him with my little air-pistol. Me? I enjoy watching all of them! Come on Summertime! I need some exercise!
PhotoFriday..... Monkeying Around

Bananas were on sale...

...shot last week while photographing the winter bridges in Saginaw. Here's what i wanted to submit click herebut, i thought it might be digitally altered just a tad too much to fit the rules. Click on it to see a full-blown full-sized version! It really wasn't altered all that much as you can see here.

PhotoTime Tuesday..... Black & White

if you like this you MUST click to see the actual size version!

Cityscape from the Genesee Street Bridge

A special outing to photograph the 'Bridges of Saginaw Valley' ... The day was perfect for a winter day... no wind, lots of sunshine. Got more photos two days later but froze our buns so we couldn't stay out very long. Got loads of beautiful shots and will definitely create a gallery of them... in color and in black & white! This black & white thing has opened a whole new avenue of adventure for me. Thanks to any and all who have suggested it.

Chickadee just cracked a seed; the house finch stopped to see what's happening .....and then there's that pesky squirrel! I guess these rodents have to eat too, eh?

Reflections in the Pond...

...Saginaw Children's Zoo... July 9, 2003. I've been remiss in meeting PhotoFriday challenges lately but just had to meet this challenge! It is definitely true that the most important element in a good photo is being in the right place at the right time. Conditions were perfect this time! I just used the automatic setting on my Olympus C700UZ. God i miss that camera!

PhotoTime Tuesday..... Macros

Saginaw Zoo Penguin

Penguin ornament...

...purchased at the Saginaw Children's Zoo where we spend many enjoyable hours every year.

Wasn't planning to extend the holidays further but this won 'best of show' in my personal endeavor to get good photos when i choose that little flower thingy on the digital camera! I just keep expecting i should be able to get even closer i guess. Oh well! This photo of ivy ran a close second. The ivy was salvaged, along with the geraniums, from my summer box of flowers at the lake. This is their second winter 'layover' and just keep growing bigger and better. Not only that, they brighten the dull days of winter.

Speaking of dull... have you visited my 'Day in the Life - New Year's Eve 2003' yet? It was a fairly ordinary day, but that's how we prefer to transition into the new year. Stoney, i'm with you on that crowd thing! It's almost a phobia with me.
Here's my transition into 2004... exciting, huh? Hey! I could've partied if i'd wanted to! Finding something worth photographing was a real challenge.
