PhotoTime Tuesday - Theme #44..... Home Town
The Walleye Festival... a biggie in my hometown for the past 48 years.
Freeland is a small town growing by leaps and bounds. This is good and this is bad. Me? I think it's mostly bad because we are beginning to lose the small town flavor. My first photo was taken in front of the new Methodist Church, just built a couple of years ago.
My second photo shows the main intersection and the only traffic signal in town. Actually there are certain times of day when we have a 'traffic jam' - when everybody is getting out of work and going home to all the new subdivisions across the river... between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Other than that it's pretty much of a 'pass through' sort of town. It's still small enough that it's cozy and everybody knows what everybody else is doing.
